Bonjour! I’m Laura, somatic facialist, chocolate addict and simply human!

Originally from the south of France (no, not Nice nor Marseille!), I initially trained in beauty therapy. After working in a famous thermal spa for several years, I moved to the UK (for love) and decided to deepen my knowledge of the body by graduating as a Holistic Massage therapist.

It is very naturally that I decided to focus my work on facial massage then later in lymphatic drainage (practice that entirely changed the way I approach beauty and wellbeing).

For many years, I approached facial massage the same I approached skincare. I was looking for ways to improve the appearance of my skin, soften fine lines and change what I saw in the mirror.

But my own experience with stress and burnout made me rethink the way I cared for myself. I began to understand that the face is not separate from the body, or from the way we experience stress and emotions.

Actually, the face is the reflect of your emotional wellbeing. I noticed how much tension could accumulate in my face (especially my jaw), and how focusing on how I felt rather than simply on how I looked actually created deeper changes. Both physically and emotionally. And it is pretty much at the same time that I understood skincare can’t do much for your skin if you’re under constant stress.

This became the foundation of my work.

I believe facial massage should never be about forcing the face into submission. It should be about listening to it.

That is why gentle, intentional touch is at the heart of my approach. In a world where facial massage is often associated with fast movements and deep pressure, I choose to take a different path. Slower and softer doesn’t mean less effective, and it’s actually quite the opposite: I’ve found that gentle techniques work better with the body’s natural rhythms, support lymphatic flow and encourage a state of relaxation that is essential when working with facial tension and discomfort.

Today, I see facial massage as a nourishing practice for the skin, lymph and soul. Through mindful touch, facial massage and lymphatic drainage, my work is designed to support relaxation, ease tension and discomfort, encourage healthy lymphatic flow and create a deeper sense of connection with yourself.

And there’s something beautiful that happens along the way: when the body feels better, the mind soften and the face reflects it.

My work is for the soul that want natural rejuvenation without constantly trying to correct themselves, for those experiencing facial tension or discomfort and for anyone looking for a simpler, more human and gentle way to care for their face and their wellbeing.

At Lymph & Soul, beauty is not something to chase. It is something that can emerge when we feel more at home in ourselves.

If you’re ready for transformation, you’re in the right place.

I can’t wait to meet you.

Laura
